Artist Statement:
Psyche is the Greek goddess of the soul. She is often depicted as a beautiful woman with butterfly wings. I see her as a symbol of the fragile beauty of becoming. Flight of Psyche captures her cradled within secondary wings — a vision of the soul’s passage through trial that lifts us toward our becoming. This piece belongs to my new series, Psyche’s Odyssey, which explores self-worth, the alchemy of change, and the sacred work of making peace with the ghosts we once were.
