Lonesome Rose is part of a larger series, Hometown Mythologies, which constructs a novel folkloric vocabulary from personal memory and experience growing up in the San Antonio Hill Country. Through this series, I transform family stories into visual myths, blending nostalgia with fantastical imagery to give shape to an evolving, personal mythology.
